This Privacy Policy explains how Tackle ("Tackle," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the Tackle app for customers, the Tackle Pro app for service providers (both on iOS and Android), the website at quicktackle.com, and any related features, communications, and support (together, the "Services"). Tackle is based in New York City and launches its Services in the five boroughs of New York City.
By creating an account, joining our early access list, or otherwise using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Services.

The Services are intended only for adults aged 18 or older.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Give Us

Service addresses: the addresses you save or enter for jobs, plus access notes such as apartment number, buzzer code, or doorman instructions that you choose to provide.
Job request information: service category, a plain language description of the job, photos of the task or location, number of items, whether ladder or heavy lifting work is involved, preferred date and time, urgency level, and any extra instructions.
Price approvals and changes: your approval of the suggested price and any approval or refusal of a price change request.
Messages: job related messages exchanged between Customers and Pros through in-app chat.
Ratings, reviews, and reports: star ratings, written reviews, reports about a user or job, damage reports, and supporting photos.

Early access sign ups: name, email address, ZIP code, and whether you are joining as a Customer or as a Pro.
Pro profile information: legal name, business name (if any), profile photo, description, service categories, service area, availability, and payout details.
Pro verification information: images of a government issued photo ID (front and back), a selfie taken to match your face to your ID, date of birth, and, where you choose to provide it, proof of liability insurance and any professional license, such as a New York City Home Improvement Contractor license.
Background check information: your written authorization and the information our consumer reporting agency needs to prepare a consumer report, as described in Section 6.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Location information:
For Customers, we use the job address you provide. If you allow it, we may also use your device location to help fill in your address.
For Pros, with your permission, we collect precise device location while the Tackle Pro app is open and while a job is in En Route or Arrived status, so we can match nearby jobs and show the Customer your progress toward the job. We stop collecting live job location once the job is marked In Progress, Completed, or Cancelled, unless you are viewing new job opportunities.
You can turn off location permission in your device settings at any time. Some features, such as job matching and live tracking, will not work without it.
Device and usage information: device model, operating system, app version, language setting, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, crash reports, diagnostics, screens viewed, features used, and the date and time of your activity.
Push notification identifiers: tokens from Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging that let us send alerts to your device.
Cookies and similar technologies: on quicktackle.com we use strictly necessary cookies to run the site, and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use it. See Section 10.
2.3 Information From Third Parties
Identity verification provider: the result of the match between your ID and your selfie, and whether your ID appears valid.
Consumer reporting agency: the consumer report prepared about a Pro applicant, as described in Section 6.
Payment processor: limited payment details such as card brand, last four digits, expiration date, billing ZIP code, payment status, and membership billing status. Full card numbers are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by Tackle.
App stores and sign in services: basic profile details if you choose to sign in with Apple or Google.
3. How We Use Your Information
Provide the marketplace: create and manage accounts, publish job requests, match jobs with eligible Pros based on service category, service area, availability, and distance, and track each job through its statuses: Requested, Matching, Provider Assigned, Scheduled, En Route, In Progress, and Completed.
Suggest prices: our automated job assessment reviews your description and photos to suggest a service category and a price. Each price starts from a base rate for the service and adjusts for factors such as the number of items, height, heavy lifting, and urgency. Every suggestion stays inside minimum and maximum limits that Tackle sets for each service. The suggestion is only a starting point: nothing is booked until you approve the price, and a Pro must request your approval before any change. We do not use automated processing to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Process payments: authorize and charge Customers after a job is marked complete, process approved price changes and late cancellation fees, issue refunds, bill Pro memberships, and send payouts to Pros.
Verify and screen Pros: confirm identity, conduct background screening in line with Section 6, confirm insurance or licenses a Pro chooses to upload, and display verification badges.
Keep the marketplace safe: prevent fraud, detect fake accounts and reviews, review reports and damage claims, moderate content, enforce our Terms and Conditions, and protect the safety of Customers, Pros, and the public.
Communicate with you: send job updates, appointment reminders, review requests, receipts, membership notices, security alerts, support replies, and service announcements by push notification, email, or text message.
Improve the Services: analyze usage trends, fix problems, train and improve our pricing rules and matching logic, and plan new service categories and neighborhoods. When we use data to improve the Services, we use aggregated or de-identified data where practical.
Marketing: send news and offers about Tackle if you opt in, or as otherwise permitted by law. You can opt out at any time.
Comply with law: meet tax, accounting, and record keeping duties, respond to lawful requests, and establish or defend legal claims.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as described below.
4.1 Between Customers and Pros
Before a Pro accepts a job, the Pro sees the service category, job description, photos, approximate location (neighborhood or nearby cross streets, not the exact address), suggested price, requested date and time, and job requirements.
After a Pro is assigned, the Pro also sees the Customer's first name, exact service address, access notes, and special instructions.
Customers see the assigned Pro's first name, profile photo, service categories, ratings, reviews, verification badges, and the Pro's live location while the Pro is En Route.
Phone numbers and email addresses are not shown to the other party. Communication happens through in-app chat.
After a job ends, the Pro's access to the exact address and access notes is removed from the job screen, except where needed for an open damage report or dispute.
4.2 Service Providers Working for Tackle
We share information with vendors that help us run the Services, under written contracts that limit their use of your information to providing services to us. These include cloud hosting and storage, maps and geolocation, push notifications, email and text message delivery, AI and image analysis services used for job assessment, payment processing, identity verification, background screening (a consumer reporting agency), analytics, crash reporting, and customer support tools.
4.3 Other Disclosures
Legal and safety: to comply with laws, subpoenas, court orders, or lawful requests from government authorities, and to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tackle, our users, or others, including in an emergency.
Disputes: in a damage report or dispute, we share relevant job details, photos, and messages with the parties to that job.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business. Any successor will remain bound by this Privacy Policy for the information it receives.
With your direction or consent: when you ask us to share, or agree that we may.
De-identified data: aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you, for example to report marketplace trends.
5. Sensitive Information
Some information we handle is especially sensitive: images of government ID, the selfie and face matching used to verify a Pro's identity, precise location, payment information, and consumer reports. We collect it only for the purposes described in this Policy, limit employee access to staff who need it, and never use it for advertising.
Face matching: the selfie and ID images are processed by our identity verification provider only to confirm that the Pro is the person shown on the ID. Any facial template created during matching is used for that purpose only, is not sold, leased, traded, or shared for profit, and is deleted once verification is complete or within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law.
ID images: we keep ID images only for as long as needed to verify identity, maintain safety records, and meet legal requirements, as described in Section 8.
6. Pro Screening and New York City Fair Chance Act
Tackle screens Pro applicants in stages, in line with the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the New York Fair Credit Reporting Act, Article 23-A of the New York Correction Law, the New York State Human Rights Law, and the New York City Human Rights Law, including the Fair Chance Act.
Application and identity verification. Applicants provide profile information, ID images, and a selfie. We review only non-criminal information at this stage. We do not ask about criminal history on the application.
Conditional approval. If the non-criminal review is satisfactory, we send the applicant a conditional approval to join the marketplace.
Criminal history review. Only after a conditional approval, and only with the applicant's separate written authorization, our consumer reporting agency prepares a report that may include criminal history. We do not consider arrests that did not lead to a conviction, sealed records, youthful offender adjudications, or other records New York law prohibits us from considering.
Fair Chance Process. If we are considering withdrawing a conditional approval because of criminal history, we will first carry out the individual assessment required by Article 23-A, then give the applicant a copy of the report, a copy of our assessment, and a Fair Chance Notice, and allow at least five business days to respond with information about errors, rehabilitation, or good conduct before we make a final decision.
Adverse action notices. If a decision is based in whole or in part on a consumer report, we will provide the pre-adverse and adverse action notices required by the FCRA, including the name and contact details of the consumer reporting agency and a summary of rights.
Tackle does not use consumer credit history to approve or decline Pros. Applicants may request a copy of their consumer report from the consumer reporting agency, and a copy of Article 23-A of the New York Correction Law from us at james@quicktackle.com.
7. Text Messages and Notifications
If you give us your mobile number, we may send text messages about your account, verification codes, job updates, and reminders. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. We will only send marketing texts if you give separate consent, and consent is not a condition of using the Services. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, or HELP for help. You can manage push notifications in the app settings or your device settings.
8. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy. As a general guide:
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account and profile information | While your account is active, then up to 90 days after closing it |
| Job records, messages, photos, and reviews | Up to 3 years after the job, to handle disputes, safety concerns, and legal claims |
| Payment and tax records | Up to 7 years, as required for tax and accounting purposes |
| Pro ID images and verification results | While the Pro account is active, then up to 1 year after closing it |
| Consumer reports and Fair Chance records | Up to 5 years after the screening decision, or longer if required by law |
| Facial templates from identity matching | Deleted once verification is complete, and in any event within 30 days |
| Early access list entries | Until launch in your area, or until you unsubscribe |
| Website analytics data | Up to 26 months |
We may keep information longer where needed to comply with law, resolve a dispute, or enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
9. How We Protect Information
We maintain a written information security program with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to meet the New York SHIELD Act. These include encryption of data in transit (HTTPS and TLS) and at rest, hashed passwords, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication for staff systems, logging and monitoring, vendor security reviews, and staff training. If a security breach affects your private information, we will notify you and the appropriate New York authorities as required by New York General Business Law Section 899-aa.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your login details private.
